01 - 2 shots freshly brewed espresso (about 2 ounces or 60 ml), or 1/3 cup strong coffee
→ Brown Sugar Syrup
02 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
03 - 2 tablespoons hot water
04 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
→ Serving Components
05 - 1 cup ice cubes
06 - 3/4 cup unsweetened oat milk (about 6 ounces or 180 ml)
07 - Optional: additional brown sugar or ground cinnamon for garnish
# Directions:
01 - In a small cup, combine brown sugar, hot water, and ground cinnamon. Stir thoroughly until the sugar is completely dissolved.
02 - Brew 2 shots of espresso using an espresso machine, or prepare 1/3 cup strong coffee with a coffee maker as an alternative.
03 - Fill a cocktail shaker or large sealable jar with ice. Add the brown sugar syrup and freshly brewed espresso.
04 - Secure the shaker or jar lid and shake vigorously for 20 seconds until the mixture is well chilled and frothy.
05 - Pour the shaken espresso mixture, along with the ice, into a tall glass. Slowly add oat milk to achieve a layered appearance, if desired, and stir gently to combine.
06 - Finish with a light dusting of ground cinnamon or sprinkle of brown sugar if desired. Serve immediately.
